Dear Parents/Carers,
The RACQ Community and Education Team will be delivering the RACQ Streets Ahead road safety lessons to Prep to Year 6 students from 10th November 2025
If you would like to reinforce and extend your child’s learning of pedestrian, passenger and riding safety, you can access Resource Packs with different age-appropriate activities in each. In addition to these packs, there are also four educational videos demonstrating the strategies taught for Prep – Year Two students. These resources will assist you to continue teaching road safety, implementing the strategies your children will learn, and applying them to your everyday lives.

Dear Parents / Caregivers of year 10 students
RE: RACQ DRIVER IQ LEARNER PROGRAM
The RACQ Driver IQ Learner Program is a road safety awareness initiative aimed at educating senior secondary students, particularly learner drivers, about the potential risks of travelling in a vehicle as both drivers and passengers. Several proactive strategies will be discussed and explored to equip the students with real-world skills for navigating and maximising their time in the learner driver phase, transitioning from learner to provisional driver, and the influence of their choices as passengers in vehicles. Students will be encouraged to use these strategies as both drivers and passengers each time they find themselves in a vehicle. Details for the program are as follows:
Date: 10 November 2025
Venue: Media Room (DSS)
Time: 09:00 to 10.30am
If you have any questions regarding the program, please forward them to Ines Cagnola on 40945333 or Admin@dimbulahss.eq.edu.au
Yours sincerely,

Fruit for Breakfast Club
If anyone has an abundance of fruit they could donate to our Breakfast Club, it would be greatly appreciated. Just drop it into the office. Thankyou.

Dear Families,
RACQ are developing a new education program specifically for adults to equip them with practical and tangible strategies to help support young novice drivers – whether they’re learners, provisional licence holders or even passengers.
To make sure this program is genuinely useful, RACQ’s Education Team would love to hear from you.
If you’ve ever mentored, or are currently supervising a young driver, or spent time in the passenger seat offering guidance (or silently pressing your foot on your imaginary brake), we would encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the short survey and share what you wish you’d known.
Your insights will help build a resource that truly supports supervisors and mentors, and ultimately, safer roads for everyone. At the end of the survey there is also an option to enter the prize draw for the chance to win one of five $100 egift-cards.
